Let’s Talk!!!
People like conversations. All of us do.
Conversation about things that matter to us? That’s even better.
Yet, ever so often, we don’t really know what to talk about and who to talk to?
We are bothered, aren’t we all? About the beggars at the traffic signal, the increasing smoke while we’re driving; the attractive hoardings offering frozen foods, people raging over each other in a jam…and we wonder: about poverty, economy, food cycles, stress levels…
Cut this scene to our workplaces or homes. Or watching a news coverage of war, or corruption or atrocities. And we start talking.
Start talking with ourselves, with families, with people around us – yet do these conversations berate our existence, galvanize us? Make us feel helpless? Or do they empower us to take an action? A small or big step towards some change that we believe in?
We have embarked on a new journey with 2013 – a new year. A year which has defied an age-old prophecy about the end of the world. As we renew ourselves, its time to take a look at ourselves. Are we going to be silent spectators, angry onlookers, frustrated individuals or empowered human beings who believe in finding solutions and taking action?
We are fortunate – more than our ancestors. We have a wonderful weapon, if you please. A glue, which defies borders. A tool which helps us to touch each other every day. Helps us make a global connection, even while sitting in our homes and offices
Black, white, yellow or brown; educated, unlettered, a doctor or a struggling entrepreneur. We all have equal access to this tool, equal opportunity. How we use it depends on the touch of our fingers.
Come January 26th – we all have a chance. A chance to come together and make a difference. A chance to engage in conversations, conversations that matter to us. Doesn’t matter what you want to ask – the sky’s the limit, and the globe is our canvas.
What matters is that these conversations will be driven around what you can do – how you can make a difference.
The guide to these conversations will be Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, spiritual & humanitarian leader whose vision is “a stress-free, violence-free world.”
Pursuing his passion for the last 32 years, Sri Sri has mentored and inspired thousands of others around the world to make a difference and to realize this vision.
On January 26th, if you’re wondering, ‘How to make a difference, What can we do for a violence-free, stress-free society?’ – ask your questions and get solutions from Sri Sri. Join the online conversation, become a part of the change:
Where: Google+ hangout
When: 8:30 pm IST
How: Post your question before the 26th of January

You will be joined by the voices of countless others who seek to get ideas, solutions to make a difference.
18 countries will come online in two groups for 30 minutes each.
Your question could echo in the eyes of another and the answer to another’s question could resonate in your heart.
The ‘I truly want to help, but don’t know how’ feeling will be taken care of. As long as you care to join the conversation.

Eagerly Waiting For It.
I hope this year’s Republic Day is marked by people around the globe.
I am in for it !
Looking forward to it !
Really inspiring!
Never though about this aspect before – ‘Conversations’
We have this habit of putting our foot in our mouth even before we have fully opened it to speak….. thats becoz we have left the upper floor closed in our head
…. If only we can just think before we speak it would make a lot of difference in the world and better still if we had nothing to say… lets just listen to someone speak who knows it …… some one like SRI SRI
…… I have already posted my question for the Google+ hangout and will be waiting online on the 26th Jan to listen to HIM speak.
So true Reshes,. very well written:-)
a mini silver jubilee online..google plus hangout with Gurudev. http://srisriontour.wordpress.com
Jai Gurudev! very well written. As you have rightly said, The ‘I truly want to help, but don’t know how’ feeling will be taken care of.
Thanks Vithal. A lot of us want to do something but we need the right direction. The Hangout will give us a lot of clarity and direction.
This hangout is indeed a special opportunity! Thanks Monica.
Here’s to some very meaningful conversations that translate into positive action.
I believe it will be Vedang. This convergence will be for a global vision, starting with regional and local action. Begins with each one of us. Am definitely in too.
I posted a question too – about our jawans at the Indo-Pak border. I think if we get into a ‘listen’ mode – listen to voices like Sri Sri’s – we will be opening up ourselves to new ideas and perspectives. And yes, discovering our own inner voices. Thanks for writing in, Mallika Krishna. See you at the Hangout!
Thank you Srividya. It’s a wonderful feeling to pen down one’s thoughts and find that it resonates with another’s as well.
I believe that this is an opportunity for me to know that there are many others who think of bringing the much needed transformation in the society! I will surely be empowered by the Sri Sri’s answers to variety of concerns all over the globe! Looking forward to it!
Nice read !!
I was so happy to discover that you’d written this piece! Keep it up Resha!
