Being a Woman is a FULL-TIME job!

Do you remember all those times when you were constantly reminded by your parents, brothers, husband, in-laws, colleagues, friends that you are a woman…. And SO you cannot do this or that?
Have you ever wanted to yell at them and say – “STOP IT”, I am proud of being a woman and YOU exist because of – “I am what I am”?
WOMAN – The 5 alphabets that are all inclusive…….. A wo(man) includes a MAN and through this inclusion she has included the whole universe. WOMAN (The WORLD OF MAN) – Sounds strange but all the best things in life end with HER – accomplisHER, togetHER, higHER, preacHER and of course The fatHer, motHER, brotHER, etc and as a result MAN is incomplete without a WOMAN.
In her achievement she always includes everyone – her achievement is when others achieve – when her father returns home with a medal, the husband with a promotion, the son with an A+.
AND YET…
One treats her like that excess baggage that has to be paid for and tolerated because at some point she may come in handy.

Imagine your life without a woman…… for starters there will not be any COLOUR in it and everything around you will be lifeless and boring. The vibrant colours of her clothes, the various flowers she decorates – whether it’s herself or her surroundings. The various fragrances she brings with her – jasmine, rose, lily etc. and of course the various flavours in food J

A woman brings stability, charm, beauty, strength, permanency, magnificence, radiance, grandeur, power and many such positive qualities into this world. She is the one that takes you from the ancient to the modern, from past to the present, from gory to glory.
AND YET…
One doesn’t realize her contributions. As a mother she teaches a child to trust – this trust takes the child a long way in the world, as a wife she steadily supports her husband as a result the husband always has faith that his wife will be there to fall back on. That is why it is said, “Behind every successful man there is a woman”. As a teacher she is always there to hold your hand and guide you building a strong foundation for you. As a friend she is there to listen to your worries, wipe your tears and lend her shoulder to lean on when you are tired. She includes you in the warm hug of a mother when you need it and sets you free when you are ready to fly.
AND YET…
One only thought of her when one needed and forgot the rest of the time like the wall clock you look at now and then to know what the time is and forget that its there the rest of the time.
AND YET…
She is there to bring togetherness in the family that translates into peace in the neighbourhood and community thus resulting in a ONEWORLD FAMILY (vasudhaivakutumbakam). She is there to guide you towards your school so that you can build your future. She is there to take you to your first temple, church or mosque so that you can grow in your spiritual journey. She is there to celebrate your first festival so that your life becomes a celebration at all times.
AND YET…
One forgets that without her the universe is not complete, that there is no progeny without her. She has proven time and time again that everything will come to a standstill if she were not there.
AND YET…
She has proved again and again that ‘Being a woman is a full time job’……. Round the clock, around the universe…. Creating, maintaining and completing all aspects of human existence.
If you are a woman and you agree with me……..look into your heart, smile at yourself, pat yourself, encourage yourself, and
REMEMBER…
We have no holidays:-)
